  2.          How to order a cheap calibration image?!
  3.          ----------------------------------------

  5. You  do  need a calibration target for using the free ICS software
  6. in  order  to  color  calibrate your scanner.  Calibration targets
  7. according  to  the IT 8.7 (ISO 12641) standard are recommended for
  8. their  quality.   These  targets  cost  roughly  $45 plus shipping
  9. depending  on  the manufacturer and dealer.  For most Amiga users,
  10. this  seems to be too expensive or to hard to get.  Some users use
  11. low  quality  calibration  images from Corel or Epson shipped with
  12. their  scanner.   Several users did report having problems finding
  13. an IT 8.7 dealer despite the dealers listed in the ICS manual.

  15. In order to solve the problem, I am proud to offer a very cheap
  16. calibration target including:
  17.  
  18. - 5x7in calibration image (currently on Fuji paper)
  19. - protection foil for the image
  20. - Amiga floppy disk with IT 8.7 compatible reference file
  21.   containing the color measurements of the image.
  22. - on request: MS DOS floppy disk with reference file
  23.  
  24. - if available and postage is not increased I do include some
  25.   bonus stuff for some orders (like a printed ICS manual or so).
  26.   But no promises on this one...

  28. Note:   You  can also use the target with IT 8.7 compatible PC/Mac
  29. scanner  software  like CorelDraw, ColorTune, ScanOpen and others.
  30. So  you  can  use  this  offer even without using Amiga/ICS at all
  31. (don't forget to request an MS DOS floppy disk in this case).

  39. Because shipping costs are rather high, there are much cheaper

  41. dealers or authors of scanner software willing to distribute

  45. No  COD.  Please pay the exact amount asked as I usualy can't give
  46. change.   No  checks are accepted (I have to wait up to 1 hour and
  47. pay  $15  extra  for cashing international checks - so please keep
  48. things  simple  and pay cash)!!!!.  Usualy I try to shipp within a
  49. week  after  receiving your order.  But please allow up to 6 weeks
  50. in case of vacation or other "troubles".
